I was not not expecting a busy market. This year collectors had enough time to sit down, talk and negotiate with dealers. I saw very few works that called my attention. The best works for me was a 70′s Robert Barry at Yvon Lambert a Jimmie Durham at Kurimanzuto and a book tower of Hans-Peter Feldmann at Mehdi Chouakri.
At Art Unlimited the best work was a Mike Nelson circular Labyrinth. The feeling of going round and round was amazing. At the end one would face a typical Mike Nelson door and the center of a labyrinth full of old tires.
At Art Statements I liked Amalia Pica at Diana Stigter. Her work is one of the best being produced lately. Amalia in the last two years have been in Venice and New Museum triennial.
For Brazilian Artists, I did not see any major work. My feeling is that local market swallowed all good pieces produced in 2012 and 2011. There is a total lack of inventory in the market.
